What Did Students Do?
This week, students had an opportunity to participate in the Sibbald Summer Games all leading up to Sports Day! During the week, students had the chance to participate in an Olympic style event. They were challenged to throw, jump, and collaborate for example in four events. Students were so eager to participate and continue to try to beat their own personal records. Ask your child to tell you which event was their favourite!
Then, many of the students volunteered to be Sports Day station helpers. They helped to set up the stations and run the stations for half of our school. They were eager to help, enthusiastic while running the stations and they did a wonderful job. A huge thank you to all of our Grade 5 students who helped to run stations. Ask your child to tell you about their station (if they helped to run one).
Finally, our students got to participate in Sports Day activities! They met up with their Grade 2 buddy and travelled to the various stations. There were many smiles and laughs to be had. They finished off their Sports Day activities with a freezie. Ask your child to tell you about their favourite Sports Day stations.
Happy Father's Day to all of the fathers of our Grade 5 Students! Enjoy your weekend!
