What Did Students Do?
This week, students learned about coordinates on a grid. They learned about the X and Y axis and began using coordinates to relate position on a grid. Students played Battleship as a way to practice their skills. Ask your child to tell you more about using coordinates to locate position on a grid. Ask them to tell you more about the first and second number in an ordered pair. For example, (3, 12).
A highlight from this week would be Alien-in-Line Skating. Students had a blast! Students learned fundamental skills for balance, movement, safe falling and stopping. Students were challenged to incorporate increasingly more challenging skills through balance, movement and even tricks. Ask your child to tell you about their favourite part of Alien-in-Line Skating.
